MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Fear Less, Inc is to serve persons in recovery from addiction and their loved ones, by improving their access to quality recovery residences through best evidence-based practices, standards, support services, placement, education and advocacy.
THE BASICS
Addiction affects everyone, especially those closest to it. Alongside the person in active addiction, are the family members and friends who are then forced to take on additional roles imposed on them by the presence of the addiction. Over time, the added stress, emotional fatigue, and financial pressures of addiction, often lead to resentment, anger and strife affecting otherwise caring relationships.
Our weekly Recovery Oriented Peer Group (ROPG) Family Recovery meeting is open to family or friends wishing to share their experience, strength and hope which advocate a recovery lifestyle. If you, a family member, a co-worker or a friend are struggling with the effects of addiction, there is hope!
Fear Less, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Fear Less, Inc. is staffed by Peer Recovery Coaches for residents and alumni. Family members also have a Peer Recovery Coach who conducts in-person and virtual meetings. Fear Less, Inc., which advocates an individual Signature Recovery Plan for each client, is not affiliated with Alcoholics Anonymous or Al Anon, organizationally or financially, however promotes active participation in 12-step programs.
THE BEGINNING
Hearthstone Houses opened its first facility, a sober living house in 2018. The original house is located at 7915 Capri Circle in Houston, Texas and is for individuals who may have delayed seeking treatment either due to the high visibility of their professional position or resistance to certain recovery concepts.
Hearthstone Houses' programming is based on NARR (National Alliance for Recovery Residences), TROHN (Texas Recovery Oriented Housing Network), FHA (Fair Housing Act) and ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) principals and tailors the facilities and recovery plan to the people who reside in our houses.
Hearthstone Houses was founded by a local family who knew personally the devastating effects of alcoholism and the positive impact sober living can have on people, families, and communities.
